One more Muslim youth arrested in Bangalore terror conspiracy case

Bangalore: The series of arrests in connection with Bangaloreassassination conspiracy case is taking no halt. On Monday 30-year-old cyber café owner at JC Nagar, Syed Omer was arrested by Bangalore Central Crime Branch. Omer,aresident of Munireddypalya in RT Nagar was picked in the Monday evening from his house by the local police;Family members told The Hindu newspaper that police officials who had come to pick Omer told his family members that they want toask Omera few questions regarding his shop license.

Family members told the newspaper that few minutes after the picking; some police officers came to Omer Cyber café and took a hard drive from a desktop computer.

Bangalore police has not yet announced his arrest, but CCB has confirmed his arrest to several local newspapers. Many newspapers have quoted sources from CCB claiming that he has been arrested for interrogation in Bangalore terror plot. During interrogation many arrested accused had given his cyber café name from where they were allegedly performing communication with their foreign handlers, CCB officials claimed.

With the arrest of Syed Omer the figure of arrested accused in the assassination conspiracy case has increased to 18 youths. Many Muslim youths including doctors, engineers, and a DRDO research scientist were arrested from Bangalore, Hubli, Nanded and Hyderabad on the charges of conspiring to assassinate Hindutva leaders last month.
