Patna : A fuming Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar declared Wednesday that the demands of “contractual para teachers” for parity of salaries with government teachers won’t be met.
Raising posters and placards and shouting slogans, the protesting teachers created a ruckus at a public meeting at Darbhanga as Nitish Kumar began his address.
Angry over the interruptions, Nitish Kumar told the teachers that his government would not fulfil their demands.
“The government will not consider the demand for parity in salaries and allowances with regular teachers. Do whatever you can,” he said.
The teachers had earlier protested against Nitish Kumar in Madhubani, East Champaran, Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur districts.
