Ghaziabad: Three people sustained bullet injuries in a road rage incident in Milak Duhai village of Murad Nagar police station, Ghaziabad district, Sunday morning.
Police said a speeding vehicle, being driven by Jogendra, spattered mud at and dirtied the clothes of Vipin Singh, who was walking along the road.
Angry over Jogendra’s rash driving, Vipin took out his pistol and asked him to stop.
Though Jogendra stopped his vehicle and apologised, Vipin fired at him and the bullet hit his chest, police said.
Jogendra’s companion Krishna Vir also received a bullet injury on his palm when he tried to intervene.
In the meantime, Vipin’s father Surendra reached the spot and he also sustained a bullet injury.
Locals informed police who reached the spot and rushed the injured to different hospitals.
Ran Vijay Singh, police officer in charge of Sadar police station, said: “The matter is under investigation. Let the victims recover from the trauma, only then steps to initiate legal action would be taken. FIRs from both sides have been registered.”
