MANUU announces admission for Polytechnic courses at Bangalore & Darbhanga

    Banglore: The polytechnic branches of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), at Bangalore and Darbhanga have invited applications for Engineering Courses for the year 2013.

    The university has announced the process to intake students for its 3 year Diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Engineering in Computer science and Electronics & Communication Engineering, with the reserved strength for 40 seats per course at each polytechnic.

    Earlier in June, TCN had reported the uncertain situation student aspirants found themselves in, when the University announced the withdrawal of all its technical courses for the following year, citing non-allotment of AICTE approval to the institute in Bangalore and Darbhanga.

    MANUU later responded to our story, by assuring that it “is moving fast towards getting AICTE affiliation for Bangalore & Darbhanga Polytechnics as soon as possible. Both these colleges will also be provided all the necessary infrastructure as required by the AICTE. University is pursuing the matter on priority basis & hopes to get the affiliation very soon.”

    Application forms for the courses are available at its website at www.manuu.ac.in and can also be obtained at the respective polytechnic.

    The last date of submission of forms is 27th of August and the date of Entrance test is on the 31st of the same month. The classes will commence on the 19th of September of this year.

    Students aspiring to get admitted need to have 10th or SSC or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum of 35% marks with knowledge of Urdu.

    Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established in 1998 to promote and develop Urdu language and to impart vocational and technical education in Urdu medium through conventional and distance modes. All its technical courses are approved by UGC/MHRD and is pursuing approval from AICTE.

    MANUU is the only educational institute imparting technical education in Urdu in the country.
