New Delhi: Sahitya Academy, Delhi is organizing a symposium on eminent poet Shahryar at the Arts Faculty Lounge, Aligarh Muslim University on August 26, 2013.
AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah will inaugurate the symposium on August 26 at 10 am while Prof. Shafey Kidwai, Chairman, Department of Mass Communication will preside over the proceedings.

Programme Officer, Sahitya Academy, Mr. Mushtaq Sadaf said that several distinguished personalities are expected to deliver speech on the different aspects of work and life of the Umrao Jan fame poet Shahryar.
The panel of speakers include Convener of Urdu Advisory Board of Sahitya Academy, Mr. Chandrabhan Khayal, Prof. Abul Kalam Qasmi, Prof. Khurshid Ahmad, Dr. Ghazanfar, Prof. Aqeel Ahmad Siddiqui, Prof. A. R. Fatihi, Dr. Seema Sagheer, Mr. Ajay Bisaria, Mr. Prem Kumar, Mr. Suroorul Huda and Mirza Shafeeq Husain Shafaq.
