Islamabad : The new chief of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Mullah Fazlullah has arrived in Pakistan, a media report said Tuesday.

Mullah Fazlullah arrived in the country’s North Waziristan region along with 15 aides from Afghanistan, reported Geo News citing sources.

The TTP chief will preside over the meeting of the Taliban Shura (council) in the next few days, the report said.

Mullah Fazlullah was appointed the chief of Pakistani Taliban after the death of its leader Hakimullah Mehsud in a US drone attack in North Waziristan Nov 1, just one day before a team of top Islamic scholars were to meet him to discuss the agenda and venue for the peace talks.
