New Delhi: Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung Wednesday called Harsh Vardhan and asked the BJP legislature party leader to meet him Thursday.
“I got a call from Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung, who asked me to meet him Thursday,” Harsh Vardhan told IANS.
“I told Jung that I would be busy with the swearing-in ceremony of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh in Raipur, and will only be able to meet him in the evening,” he said.
However, Harsh Vardhan said he did not know why Jung wanted to meet him.
The BJP emerged as the single largest party in the Delhi assembly elections with 31 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal got 28 seats. The Congress, after ruling the city for 15 years, ended with eight seats only in the 70-member assembly.
