Kabul : The Afghan interior ministry Sunday said that at least 23 Taliban militants were killed in separate military operations across the country.
According to the interior ministry, the Afghan National Security Forces conducted several clean-up operations in Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Jawzjan, Ghazni, Khost, and Helmand provinces in a day.
As a result, 23 Taliban members were killed, five injured, and 21 others were arrested by the Afghan National Security Forces, Xinhua reported.
The ministry said the security forces also seized weapons, but did not indicate if the security forces also suffered any casualties.
