New Delhi: Ummah First Foundation (UFF), a group of Muslim journalists, intellectuals and academician has severely condemned the move of the Samajwadi Party (SP) on the issue of Kamal Haasan’s controversial movie Vishwaroopam.
A statement issued by UFF president Shahid Raza Burney alleged that SP is indulging in “double-speak.” On one hand SP general secretary Ram Asrey Khushwaha tells reporters that UP will ban while Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav gives green signal for the release of the film today, Burney pointed out.
Ummah First Foundation termed the controversial movie ‘Vishwaroopam’ as “yet another form of cultural terrorism in India, where democracy and freedom of expression are being misused against Indian minority and marginalised community.”
