New Delhi: Delhi saw a partially cloudy Saturday with light rain in the morning and maximum temperature settling two notches below average at 22.6 degrees Celsius. Sunday is also likely to see the same weather with thundershowers and cloudy sky in parts of the city.
“There is a possibility of thundershowers and light rainfall in parts of the city Sunday. The skies will remain cloudy,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The minimum temperature Saturday was 14.9 degrees Celsius, four degrees above average for this time of the season.
According to IMD, the city received a total of 0.3 mm of rainfall from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Saturday. The humidity levels wavered between a high of 90 and a low of 68 percent, the official added.
“The maximum and minimum temperatures Sunday are expected to hover around 23 and 13 degrees Celsius respectively,” the official added.
Friday’s maximum temperature settled two notches above average at 27.1 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 13.9 degrees Celsius – three notches above average for this time of the season.
