Washington: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been officially discharged from a New York hospital after being treated for a blood clot, the State Department said Wednesday, Xinhua reported.
“Secretary Clinton was discharged from the hospital this evening. Her medical team advised her that she is making good progress on all fronts, and they are confident she will make a full recovery,” Clinton’s spokesperson Philippe Reines said in a statement.
“She’s eager to get back to the office…,” he added.
Clinton was hospitalised with a blood clot in her head Sunday. Her doctors said that the blood clot was situated in a vein between her brain and skull behind the right ear.
They, however, noted she had not suffered any “stroke or neurological damage”, and they predicted that she should make a “full recovery”.
