Islamabad : Pakistan Sunday accused Indian troops of killing a Pakistani soldier in the Kashmir region.
Indian soldiers violated the Line of Control (LoC) and attacked a checkpost in Bagh sector, Geo News quoted the army’s Inter-Services Public Relations as saying.
The checkpost at Haji Pir sector is located about 200 km from Islamabad.
An official statement said the Indian firing wounded two soldiers, one of whom succumbed to his injuries. It said the Indian attack was repulsed.
LoC divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan. India holds the southern two-thirds of the region and Pakistan the northern third.
