Ghaziabad: The Parents of the six-year-old murdered rape victim were given a cheque of Rs.3 lakh here Saturday by the Ghaziabad district magistrate on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government.
The girl, who had gone missing Wednesday evening, was found dead in a field on the Nandgram-Sihani Road opposite Mariam Nagar here.
The autopsy of a six-year-old who was found murdered here Thursday morning has confirmed that she was raped before being killed, police said Friday.
Superintendent of Police (City) Shiv Shankar Yadav said there were serious injuries in and around the victim’s private parts and multiple fractures on her face. To hide her identity, the assailants poured acid on her face.
“We are trying to arrest the culprits but have not made any success so far,” Yadav said.
The Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and police, which were deployed in Subhash Nagar area under Sihani police station in Ghaziabad following protests against the rape-cum-murder of the girl, have been withdrawn.

Protesters blocked National Highway-58 for about five hours. Police used tear gas cells, rubber bullets and finally fired in the air to disperse the mob.
The girl’s father alleged that his daughter went missing around 6 p.m. Wednesday. At 7 p.m. he informed the police but was asked by them to trace the girl on his own.
The next morning, he received a call from the police that a child’s body was lying in a field opposite Mariam Nagar. She was found in a semi-nude condition.
In the meantime the local administration withdrew the deployment of Pradeshik Armed Constabulary (PAC) along with the civil police in the troubled Subhash Nagar residential. About a dozen protesters who were taken in to custody had been assured to be released after the proper screening.
