Agra : All encroachments and illegal constructions along the road that leads to the venue of the Jan 27-29 global partnership summit here during which Uttar Pradesh will woo investors will be demolished an official said.
Agra Divisional Commissioner Pradeep Bhatnagar also ordered the widening and repair of road from the Yamuna Expressway to the Jaypee Hotel, the venue of the summit, on Fatehabad road.
Ministers and investors from across the world are expected to participate in the summit that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his ministers will also attend.
The road from the Kheria Airport to the venue is also being repaired. Bhatnagar said in future, police station heads would be responsible for preventing encroachments in their areas.
At a meeting of the district officials, Bhatnagar called for continuous monitoring and review of the work done to facelift the areas close to the monuments likely to be visited by the guests, including the Taj Mahal.
