Khudai Khidmatgar relief work at Uttarakhand

    Dehradun: The relief team by Khudai Khidmatgar that reached Uttarakhand for relief work at Rishikesh, Guptakashi, Devidhar, UttaraKashi and various places flood affected areas. The team lead by Khudai Khidmatgar Secretary Inamul Hasan, Mohd Faizan, Qamar Intekhab, Archana Bahuguna, Nandini Behan.

    The team reached Rishikesh and visited the relief camps and interacted with the victims from Kedarnath and Badrinath whose medical treatment are going on. The usual root to travel to Kedarnath was totally destroyed due to the flood, usually it takes eight hours from Rishikesh to reach Kedarnath but they reached near by village from kedarnath named as Devi Dhar through Tihri Gharwal, Mayali and Gupt Kashi that took twenty three hours of journey to reach, the roads where disconnected due to heavy rainfall and landslides.

    At many places, no relief materials or any form of medical aid has reached even after two weeks passed, due to non availability of transportation facility.

    The Khudai Khidmatgar team, with the help of local volunteers involved are in relief work, and are also colelcting relief materials and donations throughout the country for the relief work. Locals complain that the relif materials are not reaching everyone.



    Keeping this in mind Khudai Khidmatgar decided to serve the victims in sequence and its volunteers are going for relief work on rotational basis.
