New Delhi: It was a pleasant, cloudy morning in the capital Wednesday with the minimum temperature settling at 26.7 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season. The met department has forecast rainfall later in the day.
“The sky will remain cloudy. Rains and thundershowers are expected in some areas of the city during the day,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, the IMD official added.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. stood at 84 percent.
According to the IMD, the capital received a total rainfall of 253.9 mm, 51 percent above the average for the season.
Tuesday both maximum and minimum temperature settled a notch above average at 35.1 and 28 degrees Celsius.
