China’s Shandong beat Kazakhstan in volleyball

    Ninh Binh (Vietnam): China’s Shandong province breezed past Kazakhstan 3-0 to finish third at the 10th international women’s volleyball tournament, the VTV Eximbank Cup, here Saturday.

    With the three straight sets of 25-11, 25-15, 25-17, Shandong players pocketed a prize of $5,000, reports Xinhua.

    Hosts Vietnam will play China’s Jiangsu province in the final later Saturday. So far, both Vietnam and Jiangsu have recorded five victories and one loss.

    The VTV Eximbank Cup is taking place from July 13-20 with the participation of six teams from Australia, China, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Vietnam.
