New Delhi : Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dipu Moni Friday said India and Bangladesh should “seize the moment” and resolve the two outstanding bilateral issues of sharing of Teesta waters and the Land Boundary Agreement.
Moni, who met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley Friday, said she had had very good meetings with both.
On her meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jaitley, whose party members have voiced opposition to the land agreement, the Bangladeshi foreign minister said: “I thought his response was very positive, and he said he will hold talks with party colleagues.”
She said India and Bangladesh are two very friendly countries and should be able to move forward and “resolve the issues once and for all”.
