Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Saturday said his government had followed the policy of keeping close relations with New Delhi in the past and would adopt the same in the future.
The prime minister stressed the need for harmony and enhancing people-to-people and government-to-government contacts between the two countries, Geo News quoted a spokesman for the Prime Minister House as saying.
Sharif Saturday presided over a meeting of the Pak-India Joint Business Council.
The meeting, attended by representatives of major trade groups from both countries, discussed a host of issues regarding exchange of delegations and enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.
