New Delhi : Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will visit Uttarakhand Friday to discuss with local party leaders ways to further strengthen the organisation, party sources said Thursday.
According to the sources, Gandhi will meet office bearers of district and block Congress committees, legislators, MPs and heads of the party’s frontal organizations in Dehradun.
Later, he will also meet with elected Congress members of local self government (Panchayati Raj and urban local bodies) and attend an extended executive meeting of Uttarakhand Congress Committee.
Congress formed the government in the hill state last year after a neck-and-neck fight with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
