Srinagar : The security forces in Jammu and Kashmir Thursday arrested a Pakistani militant in Srinagar believed to have been part of a ‘fidayeen’ (suicide) attack which killed five troopers the day before.
Police sources said, on specific information, the security forces arrested a Pakistani militant in Chattabal area of Srinagar city barely two km from Bemina area where the guerrillas attacked a posse of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Wednesday.
Nine other people, including three civilians and six CRPF troopers, were injured in the attack before the security forces killed two of the ‘fidayeen’ guerrillas.
