Lucknow: An accused in the Uttar Pradesh deputy superintendent of police (DSP) murder case was Thursday arrested by the CBI after raids at several places in Allahabad.
Babloo was arrested from Salori area. He is the son of Nanhe Yadav, the village head of Bilapur, whose killing triggered the fatal attack on DSP Zia-ul-Haq. Nanhe Yadav’s brother was also killed March 2.
Babloo was arrested as he had tried to prevent Haq from taking away the body of his father, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sources said.
Babloo was missing from the village ever since the they began probing the sensational triple murders.
In a related development, joint director of the investigating agency visited the crime scene and took stock of the progress.
CBI sleuths also questioned the other two accused Sanjay and Rajiv Singh in remand.
