Kolkata : Kolkata headquartered fine dining chain Speciality Restaurants – with renowned brands like Mainland China, Oh!Calcutta and Machaan under its belt – has decided to open outlets in London and Singapore, a top company official said here Tuesday.
“In the next six months, we should be concurrently at Singapore and London, because both the joint ventures are being signed and are being discussed,” said managing director Anjan Chatterjee here.
As part of its international expansion, the company already has a presence in Bangladesh. But it had to pull down the shutters of its “Mainland China” brand restaurant in Beijing owing to legal issues.
The chain is extending its footmark to outdoor catering, with its new brand Mobi-Feast. It has invested in its Central Food Processing Unit located at Sankrail in Howrah district near Kolkata and expects to earn Rs.100 crore within a year.
The company is also entering into Quick Service Restaurants (QSR).
The company now has 96 outlets in 26 Indian cities, besides two in Bangladesh.
