Islamabad : At least eight people, including two children, were killed and 32 others injured Friday in a bomb blast in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province, officials said.
The explosion occurred near a crowded intersection in Dera Allahyar town of Jaffarabad district, Dawn News reported.
The bomb appeared to have been planted in a rickshaw parked near the road, according to police reports.
A dozen shops in the vicinity were damaged in the explosion.
Xinhua said the bomb ripped through a bus terminal around 11.50 a.m.
Other reports said the blast was triggered by a remote controlled device and the explosive materials were planted in a box that was left in the terminal.
