Azmat-e-Quran conference in Kolkata

    Kolkata: Jibreel International School, in collaboration with Madrasa Babul Uloom, organized the ‘Azmat-e-Quran Conference and Dastarbandi Function’ in a luminous evening at Science City Auditorium, Kolkata on Tuesday.

    Qari Md. Ismail Zafar founded the Jibreel International School 37 years back with a vision of founding a place of learning in Kolkata that accommodates both Islamic and modern education.

    Eminent Islamic scholars and Chairman of World Islamic Forum of London Maulana Dr. Essa Mansuri was the Chief Guest of the programme. He said that Quran is the greatest gift of Almighty and it is the only source that can bring peace in our heart and harmony and justice in our society.

    Maulana Khalid Nadvi Ghazipuri of Lucknow said, “Quran is the real source of all sciences that we have now. If we want guidance, then we must turn to Quran as it is the ultimate book of guidance from Allah, the Almighty. ”

    For Babul Uloom, the Dastarbandi was an annul affair, but an achievement for Jibreel International School who tasted their first of the sweetest taste of their accomplishments when two of their students from the general curriculum Shamail Ahmed Abdullah and Muhammad Zahid Iqbal Ahmed of class seven completed their Hifz-e-Quran and was conferred with the Pagdi and Certificate along with other ten students from Babul Uloom which included two girls.



    Shamail Ahmed Abdullah and Muhammad Zahid Iqbal Ahmed recited from the Holy Quran in the audience by harmonic gizzard and translated by two girls students Ayesha Siddiqui and Afeya Mustafa Khanam.

    The auditorium was pack to full with students, parents, Islamic scholars and several other dignitaries. personalities Malulana Shami Nadwi (Canada), Maulana Syed Salman Nadwi (Lukhnow), Maulana Aftab Alam (Dhanbad), Maulana Abdur Rasheed Nadwi, Mr. Giasuddin Molla, Minister of state of Department of Minority Affairs and Madrasah education of West Bengal, Editor of Daily Kalom Ahmed Hassan imran, State Labour Commissioner and Ex MD of West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation Jawed Akter, Tanvir Afzal were seated on the dais.
