Kolkata/Birbhum: Women wing of Jamaat e Islami organized an awareness conference on November 10 in the Birbhum district of West Bengal.
Several clerics and women speakers participated in the programme.

District president of JIH Selim Reza said that even though there is anti-dowry law, still women suffer from this archaic system. He added that the cases of domestic violence and physical assault in on rise.
He said that Islam teaches us to lead a good life in society.
North Bengal president of JIH women wing Naima Ansari said, women should gather sufficient knowledge about Islam and that is the only way to remove the malpractices from our society.
State President of JIH Md Nuruddin inspired them by his long speech.
More than 700 women was participated in this conference. Women wing of JIH has been organising such awareness campaigns.
