Islamabad : At least three security personnel were killed and seven others injured in a suicide blast in Pakistan’s northwest tribal area of Waziristan Wednesday morning, local media reported.
A suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a security forces’ check post in Shawa area of north Waziristan, a militancy-hit area at Pakistan-Afghan border, Reported Xinhua citing the report of Urdu TV channel Geo.
Tehrik-e-Ansar-ul-Mujahiddin, a fraction of Pakistan Taliban, claimed responsibility for the attack.
Security forces kicked off search operation in the area.
