New Delhi : The three Services chiefs Monday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as part of a routine briefing, but the meeting had little to do with the ongoing incursion across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir border, said informed sources.
According to the sources, Indian Army chief Gen. Bikram Singh, Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal N.A.K. Browne and navy chief Admiral D.K. Joshi met the prime minister at his official residence here as part of the biannual meeting of the chiefs of the strategic committee.
Army troops Monday continued, for the 14th day, operations against a group of 35-40 heavily-armed infiltrators in Keran sector of the state’s Kupwara district.
