Kolkata : Terming Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee’s recent virulent attack on the BJP a ” game” between the two parties, West Bengal’s opposition Left Front Sunday said the understanding between the two would come into the open after the Lok Sabha polls.
“The Trinamool’s attacks on the BJP are just a got-up game between the two. There is mutual understanding between them. After the elections, their tie-up would be for all to see,” Left Front chairman Biman Bose told the media at the party’s state headquarters Muzaffar Ahmaed Bhavan.
Replying to a query, he expressed surprise over Banerjee using chartered flights for poll campaign while claiming that her party was “financially poor”.
He also ridiculed Trinamool for projecting Banerjee as a “symbol of honesty”.
“If she has such a clean image, then why didn’t she say which chit fund owner has purchased her painting?” he asked.
Bose released a book aiming to “call the bluff” on BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s “so called development initiatives”.
