Mumbai: In another appearing to be a staged interview to a Gujarati channel BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has mocked the steps taken by present Home Minister in capturing India’s most wanted criminal Dawood Ibrahim who is allegedly hiding in Karachi city of neighboring Pakistan. Narendra Modi was answering to a question posed by an anchor concerning Dawood Ibrahim.
Narendra Modi seldom leaves any opportunity to attack opposition and finds some way to drag them while addressing a rally or during interviews. During the interview to a Gujarati channel there was no need to drag Home Minister Sushir Kumar Shinde in his answer to the question on Dawood Ibrahim because the question posed had nothing to do with the policy of UPA or short comings of Home Ministry.

Modi ridiculed Sushil kumar Shinde on the steps taken by him to capture dreaded gangster Dawood Ibrahim and said that why did HM hold press conference to announce capturing of Dawood Ibrahim from Pakistan and said that did USA held press conference before killing Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan. He even expressed his helplessness of not having an authority to capture Dawood Ibrahim. Modi’s answer stopped here with the attack on HM and he did not actually give any plan to capture or kill dreaded gangster Dawood Ibrahim.
Modi’s practical knowledge on foreign relationships and global security seems to be lacking when he matched killing of Osama Bin Laden by US Navy Seal during night of 2nd May 2011 in Abottabad city of Pakistan where US broke the sovereignty of Pakistan in killing Wolrds’ most wanted person. What appeared from Narendra Modi’s comparison to Abbottabad killing was that India can also repeat the same.
If that would have been possible then NDA itself could have done that when they were in power during 1998 to 2004 because Indian intelligence agency have got every possible evidences of Dawood Ibrahim’s presence in Karachi city of Pakistan since 1993. India have might to kill any person pin pointedly living in Pakistan but what the Indian Army in general and Home Ministry as a whole have to consider before doing that is the consequences. Fearing the consequences India can never repeat what America did.
Someone needs to help Prime Ministerial candidate of BJP to understand this fact and caution him to at least not compare India with USA, at least not in military strength.
The interview appeared staged because although the channel was Gujarati and everything written in the background was in Gujarati and Modi was very much fluent in Gujarati language but the interview was held in Hindi so that other Hindi and English TV news channels pick it and run the interview number of times.
Narendra Modi’s entire interviews appear staged. It started with the Aap ki Adalat held by Rajat Sharma on India TV where only comfortable questions were raised to him by the anchor. The program was highly objected by the social media and even the Managing Editor of India TV resigned in protest of such a staged interview.

Then ABP news held a Ghoshana Patra with Narendra Modi and changed the theme of their program altogether to provide comfort to him. The program was held not before the public as usual but three anchors posed different questions to him and public was not there to ask question to Narendra Modi. This program was also criticized by the social media.
In his interview with the Gujarati channel where one can easily make out by looking at the face of anchor and comfort level provided to Narendra Modi where question posed is of one line which is answered by Narendra Modi in 100 lines.
Why does no TV channel ask closed ended questions to Narendra Modi? Does Narendra Modi not allow those questions which are expected to be answered yes or no. Why does Narendra Modi not take questions directly from public? Does he only enjoy in hurling abuses on oppositions through his eloquent speeches? Has he got no spirit to face unexpected questions from public for whom he wish to become Prime Minister? Only Mr. Narendra Modi can answer these questions. Will he ever?
