Patna: Janta Dal United Rajya Sabha MP Maulana Ghulam Rasool Balyavi has condemned the rape of a Hindu teacher of a Madrassa in Meerut allegedly by a local cleric. He said that even Islam prescribes capital punishment for rapists.
Speaking to TwoCircles.net, Maulana Balyavi demanded that the law must take its course and if proven guilty the culprits should be given the highest form of punishment.

According to the JDU MP, laxities on part of the police as judiciary are also the reasons why perpetrators get emboldened. He said that rape is a blot on a civilized society as we are now hearing of at least 5-6 cases every day and demanded from the central government to take strict actions so that the punishments act as deterrent to the perpetrators.
