New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday met BJP parliamentarians from Maharashtra at his residence here and discussed the party’s preparations for the forthcoming assembly polls.
Bharatiya Janata Party parliamentarians from Goa were also present at the meeting.
“The prime minister gave his guidance for the assembly polls in Maharashtra,” a BJP release said.
Modi said people of Maharashtra returned BJP parliamentarians in the largest number and they had faith in the party, while being dissatisfied with the Congress, which rules the state in alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party.
He said it was the duty of partymen to work hard to fulfill the people’s expectations.
The BJP release said the Congress was making “false propaganda against the NDA government as it has not been able to digest the BJP’s victory (in the Lok Sabha elections)”.
It said people continue to have faith in the BJP-led government due to steps taken by it for the welfare of people.
