Aligarh: The Forum for Muslim Studies & Analysis (FMSA) has strongly condemned the move of All India Faizane Madina Council to convert 50 persons into Islam religion. It has also demanded a ban on the organization and arrest of its president.
“Religion teaches man to behave and live in accordance with humanism and worship the God in a prescribed manner, but the politicization of religion in any condition is not only against the national interest but also against humanism,” said FMSA president Prof Razaullah Khan.
He was chairing the monthly meeting of the Forum on Friday. He said in Indian Society all religions are respected equally and so the announcement by the All India Faizane Madina Council to convert 50 persons in Islam must be condemned.
The announcement by Bareilly-based All India Faizane Madina Council to convert 50 people to Islam has been made only to increase communal tension in country, Forum’s Jasim Mohammad said and reminded that Islam rejects reactions and does not approve such conversions.
The government should arrest all those elements who are spreading communalism and dividing Indian society through conversion and re-conversions to maintain peace and law and order in country, he said.
Farhat Ali Khan said that India is fast emerging an economic power in world and so there are chances that some foreign powers may incite Hindu and Muslim organizations in country to dent peace. Dr Mohammad Shahid said that the government should ban Hindu and Muslim extremist organizations and individuals and declare them as anti-national “because, due to their acts our culture of peaceful co-existence is under danger.”
In the end, the FMSA passed a resolution unanimously demanding the ban on All India Faizane Madina Council and arrest of its national president Moin Siddiqui Noori.
