Kabul : A total of 12 people were killed after a minibus plunged into a ravine in Afghanistan’s Saripul province, 350 km from here, police said Saturday.
“The ill-fated minibus was heading towards Kohistanat district from the provincial capital of Saripul city last (Friday) night when it plunged into a ravine, leaving 12 travellers dead,” Xinhua quoted provincial police chief Noor Habib Gulbahari as saying.
Two women and five children were among the victims, he said, adding that the icy weather and congested road was the reason behind the tragedy.
