Islamabad : The number of people killed in the three blasts in Pakistan’s Peshawar city Tuesday swelled to 13 following the death of one of the 25 injured at the hospital, police said.
Earlier, the toll was reported to be 12 and 25 people being injured. A movie screening was underway at the cinema when three hand grenades went off in quick succession. The hand grenades used for blasts were Chinese made, Geo News reported.
Shama Cinema is located near the Bacha Khan Chowk and its owners said they had been receiving threats.
This is the second attack at a cinema in Peshawar this month. On February 02, five people were killed and 20 injured when two hand grenades went off during the screening of a late-night movie show at the Picture House cinema.
