New Delhi: Pakistan wants cooperative and mutually beneficial relation with India, Pakistan’s president and prime minister said in their messages to their Indian counterparts ahead of 65th Republic Day.
President Mamnoon Hussain, in his greeting to President Pranab Mukherjee, said Pakistan wanted to build “mutually beneficial” relations with India.
“In wishing the people of India progress and prosperity, it is our sincere wish to build mutually beneficial, friendly and cooperative relations between our two countries,” he said in his message.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, in his greetings to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, said Pakistan is committed to friendly relations.
“We are committed to forging friendly and cooperative relations between our two countries, which we believe are in our mutual interest and essential for the progress and prosperity of the peoples of our region,” he said.
