AMU Gets 5 Crore Fund for Building a New Sports Complex for Students

Aligarh: The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Lt. General (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah received a donation of rupees five crores by the representatives of Mr. Yusuffali M.A., Chairman & Managing Director, Lulu Group International, Abu Dhabi, UAE, on March 27.

A cheque of rupees five crores was presented by Mr. M.M. Shabeer, CEO, Sycoms College, Abu Dhabi and Mr. N.S. Riaz Mehmood to the Vice Chancellor in presence of Pro-Vice Chancellor, Brigadier (Retd.) S. Ahmad Ali and the University Registrar, Group Captain (Retd.) Shahrukh Shamshad. The Vice-Chancellor thanked the Chairman & Managing Director, Lulu Group International, Abu Dhabi, UAE for his generosity and said that the amount would be utilized for the construction of new sports complex to provide better sports facilities to students.

The Vice Chancellor acknowledged that the UAE Old Boys Association had a major role to play in raising the endowment.
