Islamabad: At least three people were killed Saturday in an explosion that took place in a passenger van in Pakistan.

The incident occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohat city, Dawn online reported.

Police, while confirming the toll, added that as many were also injured in the blast which damaged two vehicles.

The explosion occurred along a roadside, police said, adding that it appeared to have been caused by an improvised explosive device.

It was the second attack on a passenger bus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while the one that took place in Peshawar earlier killed seven people.
