Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh government Thursday organised the first Samadhaan Divas (Resolution Day) aimed at prompt resolution of issues pertaining to industry.
Principal Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development, Sanjiv Saran said the Samadhaan Divas would be organised every Thursday by Udyog Bandhu, the investment facilitation agency of the state government.
Saran said that all communications, including proposals, references and queries from industrialists and entrepreneurs received in the offices of the chief minister and the chief secretary or through email by Friday and at Udyog Bandhu would be taken up for resolution on Samadhaan Divas to be held the following Thursday.
Along with related departmental principal secretaries, heads of departments and nodal officers, concerned entrepreneurs or industrialists would also be invited for redressal of grievances on that day.
In the first outing of the event around 80 issues were resolved, which mainly included UP Power Corporation declaring two dedicated power feeders as “industrial” for 24-hour power supply to 38 industrial units of Muzaffarnagar and issuance of no-objection certificates in 37 cases by the UP Pollution Control Board.
Four issues of the fire safety department were also solved, officials informed.
The principal secretary called up district magistrates of Deoria and Hardoi for execution of lease-deed of industrial plots there.
Saran further said that “as required, state government is continuously rationalising and simplifying the procedures to impart the much desired boost to industries.”
He said that departments not complying with decisions taken in these meetings would be held accountable and action would be initiated against erring officials.
