Jamia Institute of Engineering and Jamia Polytechnic, Akkalkuwa receives recognition at national level

Nandurbar (Maharashtra): Professor Touheed Mujawar, executive director of the Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Uloom, Akkalkuwa in the district, has received the 24MRC Network 2015 Leaders Award (Education) given for recognition of educational excellence.
The award to Professor Mujawar and others from across India were given at a ceremony held at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. Professor Dr Ram Shankar Katheria, Union Minister of State (HRD), and Dr Satya Narayan Jatiya, chairman of HRD Parliamentary Standing Committee, presented the award certificates and trophy to the winners.

After receiving the award, Professor Mujawar said, “It is a recognition for contributing in the field of improving the quality of technical education and for preparing our youngsters for the fast evolving competitive environment. I dedicate this award to Maulana Ghulam Mohammad Vastanvi, the renowned world class educationist and former Vice Chancellor of Dar-Ul-Uloom Deoband, a great visionary who has established an educational hub in a tribal location such as Akkalkuwa, in Nandurbar district.”
Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Uloom, Akkalkuwa group of colleges has more than 15,000 students undergoing Islamic education and more than 6000 student are studying medical, engineering, pharmacy apart from primary, secondary education under one roof.
Professor Mujawar also stated that engineering and polytechnic students from Jamia are imparting their services in different corners of the world. The CEO Maulana Huzaifa Vastanvi has strengthened the organisation by facilitating infrastructure and well equipped labs with modern technologies, a release said here.
“This award has brought Jamia in the first few top institutions in the country for imparting education with prophetic character especially for under privileged sector. The streams such as mechanical, civil, electrical, computer and E&TC, automobile engineering are in demand outside the state as well,” the release said.
