Lucknow : The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) would be launching a phased agitation against the anti-farmer policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP).
Announcing this at a press conference here, BSP chief Mayawati said in the first phase of the agitation, protests would be held at all district headquarters in Uttar Pradesh on April 27.
And if the problems are not solved, the former UP chief minister said, the second phase of the agitation would be launched on May 2 as a nationwide stir.
Mayawati also ridiculed Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for his “false and hollow promises” in the wake of the recent rainfall and hailstorm across the state which has led to extensive damage of crops.
