Patna: More than 17,000 students across fifteen states appeared at the entrance examination for the Rahmani-30 residential coaching course for the IIT-JEE-2017 and AIPMT-2017 examination.
These included 17,997 students, including 14,437 boys, for the IIT-JEE 2017 course and 3,520 girls for the AIPMT 2017 course.
Rahmani-30, a free residential coaching centre, held the entrance test on Sunday, April 12 for admission to free residential coaching programme for IIT-JEE for the underprivileged Muslim students and for coaching of All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) for 2017 entrance examination at 129 centres in fifteen states, a release said here on Wednesday.
Result for the written test will come on last week of April. All selected candidates will have to give interview for final selection for Rahmani-30 course. For selected candidates after interview, boys will be stay in Patna, Hyderabad and Mumbai for IIT-JEE preparation and girls will stay in Patna for AIPMT preparation and also for the state medical college test.
Rahmani-30, the free residential coaching centre, is run by Munger-based Rahmani Foundation under the patronage of Maulana Syed Mohammad Wali Rahmani and academic mentorship of Bihar’s ex-DGP Abhayanand, famous for Super 30, the release said.
Every year, Rahmani-30 selects Muslim students on the basis of a written test and interview/viva and imparts education and training free of cost so that Muslim students may be able to compete in the high educative society.
The test were conducted in centres across Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Manipur. Information about the result for the entrance examination will be released through Urdu newspapers and its website, the release added.
