Indialogue Foundation invites entries for National Photo Story Contest

New Delhi: As a part of their peace-building initiatives, Indialogue Foundation in collaboration with Rajan’s School of Photography, Hyderabad is inviting entries for ‘National Photo Story Contest’ which is open for the photo lovers on the theme ‘Peace Through Sharing’.

Indialogue Foundation, a dialogue and peace organization was founded in 2005 in New Delhi. Minhaj Shaikh, Secretary, Indialogue, told Twocircles.net: “We are organising this photo story contest since last three years. It is just a part of our initiative to promote peace and see everyone living in peace, free from the threat of conflicts, intolerance, violence etc as world is weary of conflicts, intolerance, violence, injustice, discrimination and wars.”

“In ‘Peace Through Sharing’ photo contest we want people to share their clicked photos depicting sharing which can be in form of anything like caring, kindness giving food to poor, giving clothes etc,” he added

The contest is open and free of charge to all photographers in India and submission of photos is through online mode only. A participant is supposed to submit minimum 8 or maximum 12 colour or black and white photos, including statement for the body of work in 100 words. Indialogue Foundation’s appointed judging panel will assess and determine the winning photos.

The winner photos will be exhibited, certificates and Rs 15000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 7,000 will be awarded to the first, second and third winners respectively.

The last date for submission of photographs for participants is February 15, 2016 following which result will be declared on February 22, while the exhibition and award ceremony will be held on March 12, 2016.
