Hyderabad: Zafar Sareshwala, well known industrialist, CEO & MD of Parsoli Corporation Ltd., has been appointed as the new Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad.

According to a communication received from the Ministry of Human Resource Development at the Vice Chancellor’s Office, the President of India in his Capacity as Visitor of the University, has appointed Sareshwala for a term of three years.
Sareshwala is the fourth Chancellor of MANUU. He succeeds Dr Syeda Saiyidain Hameed, former member of the Planning Commission, a release from MANUU said here.
Sareshwala, a Gujarat based businessman turned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s highly trusted Muslim adviser, has played a critical role in Modi’s attempt to reach out to the minorities since the latter’s days as Gujarat chief minister.
