‘Muslims of Karnataka and the Media’ seminar organised by India Fraternity Forum, Jeddah

Jeddah: Muslims were urged to empower themselves on political grounds and come up as a political power during a seminar here organised by India Fraternity Forum (IFF).

Lambasting some media groups which have adopted dual policy against the Muslims, Abdul Majeed Vittla, in his presidential speech said, “It is very important for us to empower ourselves on political backgrounds and come up as a political power.”

He was talking at the seminar ‘Muslims of Karnataka and the Media’ organised by the IFF Jeddah on March 20, 2015 at the Fraternity House, Sharafiyah, Jeddah.

Abdul Razak Kemmar, sub editor of Prastutha fortnightly magazine, and the state executive member of
Popular Front of India, threw light on the contributions made by Muslim community in India’s development and urged the Muslim community, which is continuously harassed, not to be divided and show unity.

Mohammed Rafiq Matta, IFF general secretary, western region, and Mustafa, member, western region council, were present on the stage. Tufail, member, western region council, hosted the event. Earlier, Mustafa, member, western region council, welcomed the gathering and Ismail Kalladka, member, western region council, proposed the vote of thanks.
