Addis Ababa : Assistant Secretary General for Science and Technology at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Amb Muhammad Naeem Khan led a two-member delegation to Ethiopia on April 30 to convey condolences over killing of 30 Ethiopians by Daesh-linked terrorist group in Libya.
The delegation was received by Ethiopian State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ministry Dr. Dawano Kedir.
Ambassador Khan also handed over a message of condolences from OIC Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani, addressed to the Ethiopian Foreign Minister Tawadros Adhanom.
Dr Dawano Kedir expressed appreciation and gratitude of his country for the condolences and sympathies. He recalled the historical relationship between the ruler of Ethiopia and the Muslims in the early days of Islam.
Khan expressed condemnation of all terrorist groups, and briefed the State Minister on the numerous steps taken by the OIC to enhance cooperation among member states to fight extremism and terrorism.
