Indian causality at Mina stampede may be higher

New Delhi: On Saturday, Minister of External Affairs Mrs. Sushma Swaraj tweeted that 58 Indians have been confirmed dead but as many as 78 are still among the missing. A detailed list released on October 1st by the Consulate General of India, Jeddah has put the number of dead as 51 and missing at 63. As there are reports of a considerable numbers of dead bodies still to be identified, it is feared that more missing Indians may be on the list of the dead.

Consulate General of India, Jeddah is making all efforts to identify the missing pilgrims. Indian Haj Mission Doctors are being sent to all Hospitals in and around Makkah to find the whereabouts of missing pilgrims. The Saudi authorities are yet to release complete details of all pilgrims who lost their lives in the Mina incident.
