Bengaluru: In order to sensitize the masses about the need of balance in thoughts and action, Students Islamic organization of India (SIO), Karnataka has taken up a state wide campaign under the theme “Be Moderate – Say No To Extremism: Balanced Thoughts for Constructive Society”.
The campaign will be carried out between August 10 to August 15 during which various activities like press conferences, handbills distribution, posters, campus lectures, competitions and workshops are planned by SIO across the state as part of this campaign.
“Amidst all the differences in ideologies and thoughts, we should continue to coexist peacefully respecting each other. It’s our duty to promote balanced thoughts among the peoples of various religions, castes, cultures and ideologies”, SIO said in a press release.
Iqbal Hussain, National President, SIO and many other religious leaders, social activists, Educationists and peace activists are expected to join the campaign.
The group will also hold regional level public conferences will also be organized in five places as follows:
1. Basavakalyan (Bidar Dist) on August 10 at BKDB Kalyan Mantap from 10:30am onwards.
2. Manvi (Raichur Dist) on August 11 at APMC Function Hall from 10:30am onwards.
3. Davangere on August 12 at Sreemad Abhinav Renuka Mandir, PB Road from 5pm onwards.
4. Tumkur on August 13 at Danah Palace from 11am onwards and
5. Mangalore on August 14 at Town Hall from 4pm onwards.
SIO has called upon people to actively participate and make this campaign a huge success.
