The Aligarh Muslim University Alumni ( AMUAAB) celebrated their Founder Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s 201st Birthday on 16th Nov 2018 at Golden Tulip Hotel, Bahrain.
The function was presided over by shura council member H.E. Dr Fatema Abduljabbar AlKooheji with Mr Anubhav Sinha, director, producer and writer of Hindi film industry (Bollywood).
Dr Fatema Abduljabbar AlKooheji. while paying tributes to Sir Syed Ahmed suggested expanding the institution to other parts of the world mainly middle east particularly Bahrain. The Chief Guest Anubhav Sinha, himself an alumnus of the prestigious Aligarh Muslim University said that the years he spent at the university have been the best part and most cherished and memorable part of his life.
Preceding the function ,drawing ,pencil sketching and general knowledge competitions for kids of various age groups were conducted by Cultural Secretary Mr Babu Khan. Treasur Mr Yunus Parvez announced the top three winners in each category who were felicitated during the event.
The event was attended by over 275 people and is supposed to be biggest gathering of AMU alumni in Bahrain till date.
The function ended with rendering of University Tarana followed by dinner .
