The Delhi Youth Welfare Association in collaboration with AFMI (American Federation of Muslims of Indian origin) will hold the 28th edition of its annual awards function on January 13, 2018 (10AM-1PM) at Hindi Bhavan, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, New Delhi, to felicitate the meritorious students of board examinations in class X and XII from 15 schools in Walled City.
More than 80 students who have secured 85% and above in their board examinations will be facilitated on that day. They will be given awards in the form of certificates, shields and also cash prizes.
The prominent guests expected for the event are Dr. Aslam Abdullah (Editor, Muslim Observer and Director Islamic Society of Nevada); Siraj Hussain ( Former Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard University); Anurag Kundu (Member DCPCR); Arfa Khanum (Senior Journalist, The Wire) and Dr. A.S. Nakadar (Founder Trustee and Former President AFMI).
Delhi Youth Welfare Association (DYWA) is a well-known organization of old Delhi working in the field of education for the last 28 years. And every year they encourage the meritorious students by honouring them. The association also strives to sensitize and enlighten the masses about the significance of education. This year they have collaborated with AFMI which is a philanthropic charity formed by American Muslims of Indian Origin in the year 1989. AFMI strives to improve the socio-economic status of the underprivileged Indian Muslim minorities through education. Its mission to achieve 100% literacy amongst Indian Muslims.
